plot twist: yahoo buys tumblr and we get proper blocking features, lockable posts, a sent folder in messages/fanmail with a better interface, ability to search multiple tags, removal of the post and message limits, proper search engines for likes/archives and removing that bloody "reblog as a link" option.

oooh what if we also got good ad integration that didn't obstruct the user generated content, but still made Tumblr a profitable platform. That could be asking for too much.

what are methods you use to make friends as an adult? I have issues doing that.

Perhaps too often in my life I have met new groups of people because I hooked up with a guy and then realized I was better off as friends with him.

But I also endorse the “go do things you like and talk to the people there” method. Talk to people at the climbing gym, gay kickball league, or bar.

The hard part for me right now is that living with my parents keeps me so removed from a lot of this city, both geographically and logistically. Its hard to do some of the things I like because I am just so far away out here in the burbs.

I think I owe it to myself to make more friends here in Atlanta. I don’t mean to say that...

I think I owe it to myself to make more friends here in Atlanta. I don’t mean to say that there is anything wrong with the friends I have here, they are truly amazing people. But there have just been gaps in my social life recently. Parts of myself going unfed by my current routine of social interactions. Add to that the fact that the amazing friends I do have sometimes attract less than amazing people, who drag the friends I care about into their mediocrity and pettiness, and maybe it’s time for me to push myself to diversify. I’m realizing that I might have an unbalanced social diet right now. So it’s time for me to take the initiative to add the variety to my life that I know I need.
